Anatoly Rubin

Israeli holocaust survivor from Belarus

Anatoly Rubin was a prominent Israeli activist who endured immense hardship during his life. Born in Minsk, Belarus, he survived the German invasion of the USSR and the subsequent liquidation of the Minsk Ghetto. His experiences during World War II were followed by further persecution, as he was imprisoned in Siberian Gulag forced labor camps for six years due to his distribution of Zionist literature.

Upon arriving in Israel, he dedicated himself to activism, advocating for the Israeli government to support others seeking to emigrate from the USSR to Israel.
