Ferede Aklum was a prominent figure in Zionist activism, notably serving as a Mossad agent. His most significant contribution was facilitating the immigration of approximately 900 Ethiopian Jews to Israel, playing a crucial role in paving the way for future migrations. Aklum's efforts were instrumental in the success of operations that enabled Ethiopian Jews to reach Israel via Sudan, marking a significant milestone in the history of Ethiopian Jewish immigration.
Following his own immigration to Israel, Aklum continued to be involved in activism, demonstrating his enduring commitment to the cause.
